Welcome to the Miss Gardendale Magnolia Festival/Miss North Jefferson Area website.  Both scholarship pageants are official preliminaries to the Miss Alabama/Miss America Scholarship Pageants.  The Miss North Jefferson pageant was reinstated to the North Jefferson area in 2005 as an official Miss Alabama Preliminary Pageant. 

We are happy to announce the addition of a new Miss Alabama Preliminary for 2010, Miss Gardendale Magnolia Festival 2010.  Miss Gardendale Magnolia Festival will be a young lady from the Greater Gardendale Region that will represent the area at the Miss Alabama Pageant each year.  The Miss Gardendale Magnolia Festival Preliminary Pageant awards great scholarship money to it's participants.  Miss Gardendale Magnolia Festival will assist in promoting the Gardendale Magnolia Festival as well as the Little/Junior Miss Magnolia Festival to be held the week before the Magnolia Festival each year.
Young ladies eligible to compete in the Magnolia Festival Scholarship Preliminary must live, work or attend school in the following zip codes:
 35071, 35068, 35117, 35116, 35119, 35172, 35091, 35180, 35079

The Miss North Jefferson County Area 2010 Preliminary will be held in conjunction with the Miss Gardendale Magnolia Festival 2010 Preliminary. 
Young ladies eligible to compete in the Miss North Jefferson Area 2010 Preliminary must live, work or attend school in the following counties:
Jefferson, Walker or Blount 

As with all Miss Alabama Preliminary Pageants, there is No Entry Fee to participate in the Miss Gardendale Magnolia Festival Preliminary or the Miss North Jefferson Area Preliminary.  The Miss Alabama/Miss America system is all about scholarship money for young women.  However, Miss America has recently adopted Children's Miracle Network(CMN) as it's national platform.  Miss Alabama preliminary contestants are encouraged to be good community servants and to be supporters of Children's Miracle Network.

These pageants are no longer merely beauty pageants, but through these competitions many young women are granted the opportunity to further their education.  The Miss America system is the largest source of scholarship funding to young women today. 

These Prelimminary Pageants would not be possible if not for the Magnolia Festival and the clubs and individuals who support and contribute.  Our heartfelt thanks goes out to all those who have made these scholarship pageants possible in the past-and those who make it possible today.
